About the Club

Religious Studies Club is a non-faith-based organization geared towards students and community members interested in the study of diverse religions and religion-related topics approached from an academic point of view. We host faculty speakers from on and off campus, specialists who focus on a variety of topics, including religion in human evolution, transhumanism in Buddhism, religion in science fiction, Buddhism and Shinto in Japanese manga and anime, and many other issues of contemporary and historical concern. All our talks are open to the public. In between, we host fun social meetings and film viewings, usually accompanied with snacks. Please feel free to come to one of our meetings or contact club officers for more information. We meet in IG Greer 119, every Monday from 6:30-7:30.
